A Reason To Sing

He always gives you a reason to sing.
Today’s Scripture: Psalm 103:1-2

When we seem to wait so long for that breakthrough, phone call, congratulatory email, answers to prayers, it seems like there is no reason for us to be joyful or full of songs.

When you read Jeremiah 17:7-8, you realise that trust is what makes the root go deep. David understood what it meant to be in the need of a miracle or breakthrough, that is yet to come. However, he cries aloud in Psalm 103, “Bless the Lord O my Soul! Bless the Lord O my Soul and forget not ALL his benefits!” Amazing, right?

It is super easy to feel downcast and disquieted, but in the times when we feel like this, those are times when we ought to lift up our voices the most – to praise, to sing, to appreciate God for past victories, and then to wait patiently on Him.

Today, God has given you a reason to sing. The breath in your nostrils, your working nerves, your working senses, past testimonies – all of these are reasons to sing.

Go ahead. Count your blessings and sing.

Prayer: Thank you Father for always giving me countless reasons to sing. I bless you Lord!
