Christ in me, the hope of glory!
Today’s Scripture: Colossians 1:26-27
The Bible tells us in the above scripture that the riches and glory of Christ are all for us. It goes on to say that Christ lives in us, and this life of Christ in us is our hope of glory – our assurance that we would share in the glory of the Lord.
When we speak of glory, we speak of magnificence, we speak of beauty, and we speak of high and notable achievements. The glory referred to in the above verse is the manifested excellence of Christ on the last day. However, we can bring this verse into the context of our everyday life.
We can confidently say that the Christ in us is our hope and assurance that all things will turn out beautifully well. It tells us that we do not need to feel limited or inadequate as long as we have Christ on the inside of us. Remember what Jesus said to Martha in John 11:40, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” Do you see that word “glory” again? Glory is a part of your life’s story and it is possible if you believe. It is the evidence of God’s presence in my life and in your life too, and we need it every day. Take time out to pray now.
Prayer Point: Father, manifest your glory in my life today and every day that I live, as an evidence that Christ dwells on the inside of me in Jesus name. Amen.
