Fellowship is wood
to the fire of love
Today's Scripture: I John 1
It is only normal for people who love each other/one another to enjoy fellowship with themselves. It becomes a thing of pleasure and joy to be in the company of such individual(s), and in no time, attributes of such people begin to rub off on you. This is what the Bible tells us in the above chapter. As believers, our fellowship is with the Father and with the Son, and this fellowship is our distinguishing mark as Christians. It cannot be found anywhere else. We were made for worship, fellowship, and companionship with the Father.
This fellowship also brings JOY. Truth is, we never know what we are missing out on when we are not spending time with God. You were created to spend time with the Master, to praise Him, to adore Him, to proclaim from the depths of your hearts that all power, praise, and victory belong to Jesus. You were created to sit at his feet and learn from His Word.
Remember, the Bible tells us in John 4:23-24 that we are in a time when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. It goes on to say that God “desires” those who will worship him that way. Do you see the word desire? God wants you to come to Him more than you will ever want Him?
Action Point: More than you usually do, take time out today to fellowship with the Father.
