God Will Stir Himself for You!

God will bestir himself for you

Today's Scriptures: Job 8:5-7; Zechariah 4:1-10

Before we go into the nitty gritty of today’s entry, I want to reassure you that Jesus loves you, and He is interested in every detail of your life.

Sometimes, some of us avoid reading the book of Job, but there are so many life lessons contained right there. Job 8:7, for example, says that though your beginning is small and you started with little, you will end with much and you will greatly increase. We are told how to arrive at this “greatly increased” state in verses 5 and 6.

One: seek God diligently.

Two: make your prayers to the Almighty

Three: be pure and upright

Then, the King James Version says that God will bestir himself for you! Do you know what that means? God will “awake” for you…just you! He will also make your habitation prosperous. When we take a look at the second scripture for today in the book of Zechariah, the Lord speaks to Zerubbabel and about how he will complete the temple for which he has laid a foundation; God makes him understand that it is not by power, force, or strength, but by the Spirit of God Himself.

In verse 10, everything becomes clear in relation to Job 8:7, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.”

Is there a project, job, or situation you are faced with and you really cannot fathom how everything is going to work out? Or do you wonder when the days of a little here and a little there are going to become days of overflow? Then, congratulations! Now that you are sure that God is on your side, do not look at the problems, but focus on your work and focus on the Lord and His power!

Action Point: Reassess your days of little beginnings and your “work ethic” and be rest assured that God is on your side to see you through!
