It is the same with my word
I send it out,
And it always produces fruit
- Isaiah 55:11 NLT
Today's Scripture: Isaiah 55:8-11
It might help today to read together what the Bible says in today’s Scripture. Isaiah 55:9-11 says,
” ‘My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,’ says the Lord. ‘And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.'”Isaiah 55:8-11 NLT
In the above verses, God first distinguishes his capacity from human capacity. Due to that capacity, he makes it clear that whatever he says is sent out on a purpose to be accomplished. So, if God has said it, the automatic understanding should be that it must happen. He does not speak in vain or because he feels like it, God intentionally charts the course of our lives and He is particular about our steps. He knows where we are headed and how best to get there, so it is up to us to trust His Word.
This month, what is God saying to you? He makes no errors in speech. If he has said it, even if it makes no sense to you, then he is committed to perform.
Action Point: If you haven’t, write down the Word of God for your life this month and confess your trust in the infallibility of His Word.
