The Kind of Love that Wins

Fervent love
For a fruitful life

Today’s Scripture: 1 Peter 4:8

One of the ways to live actively for God is to show love to other people. I like the way the Amplified version puts it, “Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins (forgives and disregards the offenses of others).” In Proverbs 10:12, we are also told that hatred stirs quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses. In the presence of love, the most irritating things become beautiful.

When the Bible talks about intense love, it talks about the kind of love which is burning, and ever present – a hot kind of love! A love that is too hot for quarrels to perch on, too hot for Satan to penetrate by clouding your thoughts about a particular person or allowing you see only the negative in other people. No. This kind of love is hot and fervent towards God and towards other people.

Moreover, the absolute truth is that love will always win!

Prayer Point: Father, I thank you for creating me with the ability to love. Help me to love like you and let all that I am be reduced to love in Jesus name. Amen.
