Trust is what makes the roots go deep
Today's Scripture: Galatians 2:20
One of the missions of this devotional is to help build trust for God in you. I remember God saying to me, “Trust is what makes the roots go deep”, and that was a kind of criterion for building deep roots in Christ. It has also influenced every post. So, life as a Christian in itself centers on the faith that we place in God. It kind of asks you, “How much do you trust Him to let Him be God?”
Relationships of all levels work by trust. See the scripture for today? It says, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Did you see that? The path to living in this earthly body as a believer is the path of trust. It is understanding that once we hand over our lives to God, He is responsible as our Lord, Savior, Bishop, and Shepherd of our souls to make sure that we are alright. So, when he says, “Take that step”, He knows very well what He is doing, and He needs you to say, “YES” without hesitation.
Today, God is asking YOU to renew your covenant of trust with Him. What has he said? He will perform it. Keep trusting and keep believing.
Prayer Point: Father, I renew my covenant of trust with you today. I lay it all at your feet – my anxieties, fears, doubt, and even over confidence in myself or other people. I choose to choose You, Lord, above all else. Help me to grow in deep roots with you by trusting in you unwaveringly in Jesus name. Amen.
