Jesus is on your side, O child.
Sleep like a cherub.
Today's Scripture: Psalm 34
Do you ever wonder at how strong lions are? I do. When I find myself watching National Geographic Wild or any other wonderful documentary channel, I like to watch the cat family the most – the lions, jaguars, cheetahs, etc. It amazes me how the elephant takes cover at its sight of the lion, and it occurs to me that the battle is really not to the biggest animal in the jungle. However, the Bible tells us something amazing in verse 10 of Psalm 34. As much as these strong lions tend to always have their way, always having something for lunch and another animal for breakfast, they still sometimes go hungry. Yes, the other animals do take refuge from these carnivores and boom, there’s no food to eat.
But even if these lions go hungry, we have a God who ensures that we lack no good thing as long as we trust in Him. The reason this comparison is made with lions is because, most of the time, these animals always have a way out. When it comes to us therefore, with God, there’s no missing lunch or skipped breakfast, there is nothing missing.
Is there something in your life right now that makes you cry at night? You don’t know where the next meal is coming from? Have you read God’s word in Psalm 34:10? Do you trust God and do you believe Him? He says you will lack no good thing!
Prayer Point: Father, I have full trust in you and according to your word, I know that I will lack no good thing. Let your outstretched hand of provision meet my needs today in this area and in that area. I thank you Jesus because I know you will always come through for me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
