Tireless Love

His Love keeps coming
Keeps knocking

Today's Scripture: I John 4

Verse 10 of I John 4 says, “This is real love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”

It’s an amazing truth in this verse when you think about it. Have you ever asked yourself if you could give up the dearest thing you owned to someone who does not see you in any form of high esteem? If you ask yourself now, your answer would probably be in the negative. Now, imagine giving your life and love to someone who hates you the most? We’d define that as “toxic” and pretty much impossible, right? You might be able to think of one or two people who you can sacrifice your very life for, but maybe not the last person who called you useless or insignificant.

But that is what Jesus did. He loved us first. When we rejected him, he embraced us. When we left him knocking on our doors, he waited for us to come into the reality of that love.

Action Point: Think about God’s love for you – how you pushed him away at first and how he never gave up on you and be thankful today!
