And in all your getting,
Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 9:10-12
Did you know? Wisdom makes the face of a man to shine. The above verses instruct us to be active about our pursuit of wisdom. Remember the story of Naaman? Wisdom is seen when Naaman chose to obey. A hardened, unteachable heart is not a wise heart. A proud mind is not a wise mind. The first verse above says, “The Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.” When we put God first place and reverence Him above all else, we are walking in wisdom.
Verse 11 says wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life and guess what? In verse 12, it says if you become wise, you will be the one to benefit; if you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer. The steps and decisions of our lives point back to us – we either make or mar our own destinies by the decisions we make.
Where do you start from? By fearing God and obeying His commands. Putting God first place will put the foolish things last place, and that will put you on top.
Wisdom and understanding shall be the order of the day for you in Jesus name.
Prayer Point: Father, grant me Your wisdom and teach me to place you above all else in my life in Jesus name. Amen.
