You Are A Living Letter

Our true competence flows
from God’s empowering presence

2 Corinthians 3:5 TPT
Today's Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:1-5

Today’s message is simple and straight to the point, but first, what do you do when you feel dry? What do you do when you think you are living life on “empty?” This chapter tells us what to do – acknowledge God’s Presence. As much as God lives on the inside of us, it is very much possible to go about life trying to figure out things on our own. So, much more than his presence is in church, within the body of Christ, it is inside of you too.

In verse three of today’s scripture, the Bible says, “you are living letters written by Christ, not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God—not carved onto stone tablets but on the tablets of tender hearts.” You know how the popular saying goes that the proof of the pudding is in the eating? Yes. The proof of your Christianity is in your living. What I, however, realized is that as a living letter, you constantly need “ink” because you are continuously being “written.” But your ink is not the same ink that is found in pens, it is the Spirit of the living God, and where is that Spirit? In the heart of your hearts.

So, where do we turn when we feel our inks running low? We turn to the father on the inside of us – constantly, continuously, and continually. Are you feeling empty today?

Action Point: Call upon the Comforter, Advocate, and Helper that lives right there with you on your inside.
