Your Faith and the Internet

God is opening doors for you too
Today's Scripture: Psalm 23:1-3

There is a blinding syndrome on social media and the internet that you are probably aware of. It is not about being blind to the imperfections of other people which is “hidden” under smiles, selfies, and successes. It’s a different kind of blind – the one that clouds your perceptions of yourself and your blessings.

This is where most of us fall short – we look at others with awe and back at ourselves with questions. How sad, right? While the internet gives us the ability to see the successes of other people (which is neither the internet’s fault nor that of those people), we should never lose sight of the doors God is opening to us.

Think of it this way: when you read the testimonies of people in the Bible, does it shut you out to think that God is doing nothing in your life, or do you remind yourself that the God of the Bible is the same yesterday, today, and forever? When we see people on the internet celebrate open doors (especially if they are believers), it is an opportunity to give God the glory because He is still and will always be God. He cannot fail. He is opening doors for us and opening doors for them.

Today’s Scripture promises you the many things God will do. Trust Him and His timing. It always works!

Action Point: Confess your trust in God and ask Him to help you see the doors He is opening in your life.
